Where are network connection UUIDs stored in Fedora 27?

Even if I stop NetworkManager and delete all files I can find concerning the network interface or the current UUID of that interface (ifcfg-* and leases) and then reboot, the UUID that appears in "nmcli con" is still the same as before, so it must be stored somewhere. Where exactly?
