    @StephenKitt I know it's not the exact reason, but a superset. "How do I google" is a subcategory of asking for some tutorial on how to do something. Since people don't want to waste time explaining what is going on since it is blatantly off topic anyway they just use that option. I see this on SO all the time. I get your point that it might not be the most appropriate reason but still people (me included) don't seem to want to waste time writing stuff to close a question like this which doesn't even deserve such effort. I wouldn't really worry about something like this.

    @StephenKitt I tend to agree that if the OP does not see worthy wasting their time, that also see too far fetched wasting mine when I am not the interested party. The drama that you people create around closing really bad questions and the energy spent around them seems a bit misplaced. But then I know I am not the best example to speak about it
