Everything was fine and working well till yesterday, after shutting it down yesterday and when I tried to login today, I was unable to get past the login screen.

First I thought it may be the problem from kde side, but asking them in the IRC, made me realize it's not a problem related to kde.

I tried restarting the laptop many times, but couldn't get past the login screen even once.

I was successful in logging through tty, but not through graphical one.

Any help is appreciated (really need to work on something important).

TIA!

  • When you boot then press ctl+e and remove quite rhgb option and then press ctl+x, then tell the error which you are getting.

  • Is your user's home directory mounted?
